When does child support end

by Keith
(Maryland)

In the year 2011 my child will be 18. But I would like to know in Maryland is it 18,19, graduation of high school, or college. The mother of my child say after graduation of college? My child is a senior in high school and after that going to college on a full scholarship. to be a doctor. When does it ends?

What is written in your divorce decree? Ususally it is either when the child turns 18 or graduates high school, whichever occurs first. Some have it to where they support is paid through college but that is only a 4 year deal. Check your divorce papers. If you have no written agreement through the courts or any agreement that you and your ex have signed, then I would stop paying once the child turned 18.
