Stopping Wage Garnishment To Get My Passport

My ex does not have to garnish my wages but is doing it simply to be spiteful as they're always angry at me - 14 years after our divorce.

I have written them, asking to have it removed and have formally promised to pay it personally, but they won't respond, thus blocking my desire to have a passport. It does not seem right or fair for them to "control" my life this way. Though I'm happily remarried, they continues to war at me with the smallest of things and now this. I paid the money for the passport only to have the State Department tell me it's denied, after spending more than $250.00 -nonrefundable- for it.

I do not know what to do. They have also, unlawfully, withheld my youngest son from me and I've not seen him for 4 years now.

This is very painful and wrong - all retaliatory, nothing just.

What can I do if I cannot afford an attorney?
