Stopping Child Support At Age 18

My son turns 18 in June 2010 but the last payment he received was in Feb. Should he still be receiving money up to his 18th birthday? We live in the state of Massachusetts.

Dear Tarsha,

Yes he should receive payments until he turns 18, unless he was emancipated. Did you receive any letter in the mail stating the payments were going to stop and why?

Hi, as the non custodial parent, is there something I need to do when my daughter turns 18 to finalize the child support payments? There is nothing in our decree regarding college so I'm assuming my ex cannot decide to not try to modify? My daughter will be 18 in June.
