Starting Child Support Father In Another State

My baby's father lives in Florida and I live in Alabama with our son. I need to know how to go about putting him on child support and which state would i have to go through?

Hi Audra,

You will file a child support case through the state the child resides in. Open a case in your home state of Alabama and give them all of the contact information on your son's father. Does he currently send support?
