Reduction of Child Support

My name is Harold Wtkins. I live in Miami,FL. I was placed on child support in 1998 at my divorce hearing. My ex-wife moved in June of 1998 stating that she was visiting family out of town. She never returned. we were granted joint custody and I was deprived of my rights as a father for 9 years. I had no knowledge of where they were, no form of contact or communication and no knowledge of my children's well-being. Nevertheless, I was responsible to pay child support for all those years. The court did not tell me where they were nor where they were sending my money. The self help division of the courts told me they didn't help the fathers or non-custodial parents.

I lost my job and fell behind. My children are now back in Miami and I am currently paying child support although they spend more time with me and my mother than with theirs. I an in arrears in excess of $50,000.00. I would like to request to have 9 years worth of child support knocked off. Thanks for taking the time to read this.
