Oklahoma Child Support Law

by Kathy
(Lawton, OK)

I'm curious to know what the actual verbiage in the Oklahoma state law says about discontinuation of child support. The local child support service office said that even though my daughter is 18 and will graduate from high school mid-May, that their "policy" is to collect support through the end of the month. I think it should end the last day of school as I am no longer "legally" obligated to provide support.

I cannot find the law online but would bet that it says child support stops when the child, who is already 18, graduates from high school. She is not going to attend college and will be moving in with her boyfriend immediately after high school.
