I have a 5 almost 6 year old daughter with my ex-wife. We have been separated for over 3 years now and, despite a custody order, I have only been able to see my daughter twice in the past three years, due to my ex-wife keeping my daughter from me. Since I started paying child support, she has had my wages garnished and, the Las Vegas Child Support office will randomly raise the amount that I owe.
I wanted to know if this was legal or not and, what, if anything, can I do about it. I am in the Marine Corps and am not stationed in Las Vegas so, I can't really walk into an attorneys office there, most of them want $100 up front just to talk to them.
Also, she has been in and out of multiple relationships and, with every guy that she is with she tells my daughter that that man is her father. I have also found out from my daughter that she sleeps either on the couch or the living room floor because she doesn't have her own room. I pay almost $800 a month for one child, she works and so does her current boyfriend who resides with her, I feel that with three incomes my daughter should have her own room, and a bed.
My wife and I had a son about a year ago, and are struggling due to the amount of child support I have to pay in comparison to my income, any of you out there know the military pay for an E5 know that its not much, especially when you're paying $800 a month for a child your never aloud to see.
On top of it all, my ex-wife has been charged with battery and domestic violence, due to her fighting and hitting one of her boyfriends who I strangely became friends with. He informed me that my ex will go to guys houses that she knows and sleep with them and, bring my daughter along with her. He also told me that he had asked my daughter who her father was and my daughter procceed to name off 5 different men as her father. I don't feel that my daughter is being taken care of properly and I fear for her safety.
Please, If anyone has any advice or, knows what I can do, on a very small budget to get this matter taken care of, please help me.
