My Ex Will Relinquish Parental Rights If Child Support Is Void

My almost-ex husband has had virtually no contact with his daughter (b. 11-27-06). We are finally almost through with divorce proceedings, and he will relinquish parental rights but wants a waiver on all future child support payments. I believe that since we planned the pregnancy in good faith and our marriage fell apart because of the pregnancy, he is responsible for the resulting child, regardless of parental rights.

Tell Us Why

Hello brannora623,

The question is what do you want? Also how does it benefit you if your ex relinquishes all parental rights? Why would you want to stop receiving support for your daughter? Sometimes we give people the easy way out. Please let us know why you want to do this.

Thanks,
