My ex owes $8,000 in back support

My ex and I both reside in MI. He was sentenced to pay $353 dollars a month for child support in 2006. In 2008 he lost his job and began collecting un-employment...since then, he stopped paying his support, which he simply could have hyad taken out of his un-employment. Police started visiting his residence, which he managed to avoid for sometime, then he finally got caught. The offiver made him pay $400 dollars bond and didn't take him in.

He never went to his court date so a $500 bench warrant was issued. He was just caught again, paid the $500 on the spot again and wasn't taken in. He now has another upcoming court date and I was wondering if anyone might be able to give me an idea of what his consequences or sentence might be. This case is through Oakland county, Michigan...Michelle
