My Child Died And Ex Husband Still Owes Child Support Arrears

My child was disabled and recently passed away, however; my ex-husband still owes in arrears in the amount of $20,000.00. Will I be able to take him back to court. He didn't pay anything on funerals costs. I had to pay it all. We live in Georgia and he lives in Alabama.

P.S. A contempt hearing was scheduled after my child died, we were in the process of setting it up (my attorney and I) before he died. She set the hearing for January 19th, but canceled a week prior. She said she had a criminal case that had to be heard. I had paid her $500.00 in September of last year to go toward the hearing. I have emailed and called numerous times, but she will not call me or respond in anyway. Before I seek out another attorney and ask my money back, I wanted to know if I in fact take my ex back to court. I want to use the money that he owes to purchase a nice headstone for my son's grave. I cannot afford without the money. I have told this thru her secretary and email but she will not call me. I am so disappointed that she has done me this way.
