Modify Child Support In Colorado

by Alyssa
(Colorado)

My husband pays child support and we just found out I'm pregnant and having a child together. We just got done with modifying child support after 8 months. Now we are going to have to modify again since we are having a kid can we start the process before the baby is born since it takes so long to get done?

Child Support Questions
by: Child Support America Team Member

Thanks for your question. You may need to call your caseworker. In some states a modification can only be requested every 36 months. There may be a special circumstance here. Is your husband current with his payments?

Thanks
