The mother of my child has agreed to forgive the back child support. She wants me to tell her exactly what needs to be done for the state of TX. I am clueless myself.

Thanks for your question Ed. We recommend that You discuss this matter with your Child Support caseworker. The waiver of arrearages varies from state to state. Your ex may be able to just sign a paper or you may have to go before a judge. Have you contacted the caseworker and asked the procedures for waiving back support?
