How Much Child Support Am I Entitled To Receive

I have two kids with my ex-boyfriend which is from Haiti.We were never married, but we have lived together for 4 years, and we have gotten to the point where we both have to go our separate ways.I have discussed this with him telling him that when we do separate I am going to take him to child support he tells me that if I ever file for child support he will just no longer work move back to Haiti (get full custody of my two kids which i know that will never happen)and i will not be entitled to anything. He makes at least $2,800 dollars a month i just need help and want to know at least how much money i will receive and if he does decide to stop working is the law going to be in my favor?
