how do I get my child support payments reduced?

I am a non-custodial parent who is paying more than half my weekly income for support payments. I don't even get to see my children. I can no longer afford to make the payments and support myself. I also cannot afford a lawyer. I've been to court and was threatened with having my support payments raised. What do I do?

Go online and research to fill out your own child support modification papers. Mail them to the courthouse to the Judge's clerk attention. In the papers it should ask if you want to set a hearing date. You should receive a document from the courthouse giving you this date and time. You dont need a lawyer. I personally did all of this myself as this is how I know it can done this way. You will represent yourself in front of the Judge. Afterall, you cant afford a lawyer and if you could then you would be able to pay the support. Let the Judge hear that statement.

i was told in the state of tn the judge will not see you without a atty

i been trying to get in touch with my case worker have been to see what we can do to get my child support lowered. ever time i call NO BODY will return my phone call. So what do i do? how do i speak to somebody i am needing to get my court date changed the father wants to drop child support but he cant make it to court with me this month.
