How Do I Get Child Support Modified To Prevent Divorce

by Melissa

My husband and I have been married for almost 5 years now. He has a child from a previous relationship and then another child from his previous marriage. He pays $800 a month in support. We attempted to get it lowered at domestic relations and in front of a judge because we have a 3 year old son together. So I felt it should have been lowered due to him having to support 3 kids and not 2 anymore. Domestic Relations has done nothing to help us and I am ready to divorce my husband so that I can get my fair share too. How do we get this fixed the right way so that we can have a life and I don’t have to support my husband, my son, and his two other kids?

We need to know what the judge said concerning the modification? It appears that it should have been granted due to the extra dependents.
