How Can Child Support Enforcement Close Case

by Justin
(Vidalia ,Ga, U,S.)

I received a letter from the child support enforcement agency stating that my case had been closed. There was no reason as to why it was closed, so of course that raised concern. I went on the child support portal and I could not access my case because it no longer existed on the site. I contacted the agency and requested to know why my case had been closed. The agent could not provide me with a legit answer except they only knew that it had been paid in full. Okay, how is a case paid in full, my daughter is only 4 years old. The agent told me that she would request that I be notified by mail as to why my case had been closed. I received a letter in the mail days later stating that my daughter had been removed from the home of the custodial parent.

I could not find out any information as to why she was removed. Almost a month later, I happened to check the portal and my case was accessible and it showed that my case had been reopened due to the request of the custodial parent. I had never been notified by phone or mail. The reason stated on the portal as to why the case had been reopened was that the agent had read the order incorrectly. Please explain to me how this can happen ? The order that was supposedly read incorrectly was an order from over a year ago. I really need to know what I can do about this. This kind of mishap is totally unheard of. Agents should not make this type of mistake that would lead to a case closing. I thought that before a case is closed it would have to go through more than one approval. Please explain how this can happen....
