Getting Child Support From Childs Father When Married

I can not afford a divorce nor do i have a job or a car my husband leaves me and my 2 children and stays gone until he wants to come back there is domestic violence i don't have the means to get my childrens diapers or food or a ride to the dr. im wondering if i can put him on child support since he doesn't help with them at all and leaves them with absolutely nothing.
