Fear Of Paying Double Arrears In Support

My fiance is currently about 1 yr behind in paying child support. Due to an accident he had to leave his job and has applied for Social Security disability. There is currently a 2 yr wait for a hearing on his disability claim. He has presented this information to the courts and it shows that when he is approved for disability his son will receive back pay in addition to a monthly check.

They still have ceased his $11,000 motorcycle and they are ordering it to be sold for the arrears amount of $5,600. Is this legal? He has paid child support faithfully for 11 yrs. He also went down and established paternity and set up the child support order when his son was only 2 months old. Can you help? He feels that he is going to pay double since they have his motorcycle. Social security will then take the arrears once his disability is approved.
