Ex Retains Collection Company for Alleged Back Child Support

I received a notice from a place called National Child Support in Cinncinati that my ex has retained to collect alleged unpaid child support in Illinois. We divorced in 1981 and my youngest child turned 18 in 1995. I have no record of the cancelled support checks since it has been 15 years after she has beccome an adult. What kind of a defense do I have against this claim?
