Child Support InTwo Seperate States

by marc
(fallbrook california)

I live in California and my ex lives in Colorado. We have split custody and I get the children on holidays, spring break (2 weeks) and the entire summer vacation (3 months). Do I still have to continue to pay her child support for the 3 months I have them in the summer?

Yes......

Dear Marc,

Yes you will still have to pay unless a child support order states otherwise. Normally in shared custody, neither party pays child support. Are you ordered to pay a set amount each month?
