Child Support Enforcement Order From Another State

I have a child support order in the State of Michigan and the father now lives in North Carolina. The parent (payer) has been getting away with not paying. Is there any way a mother can get help?

Tracy,

I would strongly suggest enforcing it the way you did at first for the court order either through a private attorney or through your state agency like a department of Human Services which they will help you in the right steps to take toward that.If you know where he lives or works that is half the battle. It is better to go through the state because they help you with locating him and will enforce it through taxes too when he claims. Don't get discouraged keep trying until you find a loophole. The one thing I learned is anyone will get away with anything as long as you let them, so don't let him. Good luck
