Child Support Case Reviewed For Contempt

by Stormy
(Morgantown,WV)

My ex husband was taken to court on 6-1-09 for failure to pay support. At the time a jail sentence and fine was ordered but they were suspended under the condition that he pay the monthly amount plus some on the arrears. The motion was set to review on October. In October it was set to review again in December. In December it was set to review in February and now in February it was set to review again in May. Over the course of the time since the 1st hearing in which he was ordered to pay $330.00 a month he has paid a total of $343.00 which is only $13.00 more in 9 months than he was to be paying monthly. He is also $6305.00 in arrears. I am thinking that it has something to do with the fact the interstate manager on my case is a friend of his.

The attorney for the CSEA in Ohio was my attorney for the original contempt case.

What You Can Do
by: Child Support America Team Member

You should contact your CSEA attorney, and ask why your case keeps getting rescheduled. You should also inform them of your suspicions that your ex knows the interstate manager on the case.

If the above sugessstions fail, you should consider hiring a real or non-csea attorney. We can help with that via our VIP membership program. The button is on your left.

Feel-free to contact us anytime.
