Child support and insurance calculation

by Cecilia
(Athens, Alabama)

When child support is being calculated, the dad, who is responsible for insurance for the child gets credit toward child support for the amount being taken out of his check for insurance. If the dad doesn't have insurance through his work and no money is being taken from his check but his wife has insurance that the child is covered under, does he still get credit toward child support?
