Child Is 30 And Still Paying Arrears

My child is now 30 years old and I've been making payments for arrears but interest is keeping me in debt do i qualify for COAP? I have health issues no opportunity for health care nor the desire anymore to get health care. I have hardly any source of income what i do get goes towards these payments. Unemployed because of health. Can there be a resolution?

Hi and thanks for your question. You may qualify. Another option would be to contact your caseworker and ask what can be done in your circumstance. The interest may be able to be waived especially since you have health issues. Explain that you can give documentation of your health issues. Have you applied for any type of disability through Social Security?
