Can you receive child support while living together not married

(Wisconsin)

My boyfriend had to take a leave of absence from work for 9 out of the 12 months, he was receiving unemployment. His unemployment was only enough for him to afford his car and car insurance, and a little money to hold over for the week. My boyfriend is now back at work full time, our baby is 6 months old. My boyfriend tries to give me money when he gets paid, we have agreed to $250 every two weeks and I pay all the bills, rent, baby supplies, etc... It has only happened once that my boyfriend gave me $250, it seems that every-time he gets paid, his paycheck goes somewhere else. I think that it is unfair that I pay for him and the baby. If I charged him child support I would know I would be getting a certain amount. I am not trying to be selfish, I think he should contribute his share.
