Can I Get My Ex Husbands Tax Return For Back Child Support

My ex-husband just moved here from Texas. Someone told me that I should receive his tax return. I have never received anything from his taxes in all the years he has filed.

Dear Brenda,

To answer your question yes you can get his tax return. But the arrearages must reach a certain amount before they will start offsetting his tax return. You should contact your caseworker and find out the exact amount of back support and express your concerns about not receiving his refund. You can contact your caseworker through e-mail now which is very convenient. Have you ever contacted your caseworker with these concerns?
