Can Ex Wife Wave Back Child Support In Mississippi

I was told that my ex-wife could wave my back child support. but when i call my case worker to ask her about it she still was telling me that i had to pay money. if that is not true then how long is the process because i am running out of time.

Hi Louis,

Your ex wife can waive arrears for child support. However, if at any point in time she was on the system, those monies cannot be waived. There is a process and every state is different. You may want to call the office and speak to a supervisor and find out the procedure to waive back child support. Are you current with the payments now?
