Appealing Alabama Child Support Order Set By Judge

I went in front of a judge to put my kids father on child support and by the end of the judgment, the judge ordered me and my kids father to community service 3 days a week, picking up trash on the side of the road in 30 degree weather, the very next day!!...my problem with this is y was I put on community service?...and I want to know how and if I can file an appeal to this because he didn't even give me 2 hours to set up day care for my kids while I go pick up trash, he knows neither of us works...so where is the gas money going to come from?...he didn't even set up transportation...nothing!!...just ordered us 3 days, 7-3 until we find a job!!....and I wanna know does he have a right to put the parent that has custody of the kids on this?...if so, why and how?...and if not...tell me what I need to do about it.
