Am i asking for too much?

My son is 3 months old and his father recently moved out and left me to take care of him basically on my own. He lives with his friends in their one bedroom appartment, and sleeps on their couch my son has his own room in my house and i provide as much as i can, i would rather not go to court so i tried to make an agreement with my sons father saying if he wants him he can have my sone while i am at work but not over night, and i am asking for 150 dollars to provide for my son, i am only a host at a restaurant and only 17 and i dont think i am asking too much from him, am i?
